You know something? I love coloured wedding dresses.
Okay, so I know that traditionally brides tend to choose an ivory or classic white bridal gown. But really, shouldn’t you be able to dispense with tradition and wear something you LOVE?
Some brides really go to town on this idea and rock a scarlet wedding dress or a black number. And why not?
But if you’re a little less flamboyant, then you should be thinking about pastels maybe. There are some beautiful dresses for the bride in pale pinks, baby blues, soft lemon yellows or lilacs. (Look at Blumarine 2013 bridal collection for some inspiration.)
So today I’m going to share the wedding day of Persephone and Eddie.
Persephone looked like a princess in a blush wedding frock by Pnina Tornai. Custom made, in close consultation with the designer, Persephone swept by like a soft cloud, dressed in gentle pink ruffles.
It’s a gorgeous wedding and Persephone was certainly a bride who knew exactly how she wanted her big day to look – and as she works for Project Wedding she’s well informed about the latest wedding ideas and trends. The couple had a destination wedding in Coral Gables, Florida – and the sun shone down on them …
By the way, I love the jewelled bouquet … Sets off the dress to perfection!
Bridesmaids Elegant in Blue
Lucky bridesmaids! As a thank you, Persephone presented them all with a pair of Christian Louboutin heels. Blissful swoon …
The designer shoes were an elegant finish to their stylish bridesmaid cocktail dresses by Lela Rose at Dessy. One shoulder, in a soft luxurious duchesse satin fabric, you can find the very same gowns here (in a multitude of different shades).
You can see the full wedding here on the Project Wedding Blog One Lovely Day. Enjoy!
And would you wear a coloured wedding gown? Or do you know somebody that did?
