Ice blue and frosted silver:
what a perfect duo of colours for a Christmas wedding.
Particularly if you get your bridesmaids to wear dresses like these beautiful After Six 6718 dresses which come in a delectable selection of delicate blues and silvers, as shown immediately above with modified halter in matt satin ivory, or like the featured image which shows Platinum top with Cloud skirt – lovely. The full, hi-low skirt is a very flattering shape and falls in wide pleats at the back giving it a beautiful elegance.
With a blue and silver Christmas wedding you will be able to create a fabulous winter wonderland feel relatively easily and cost-effectively. All you need are tall branches (coppiced hazel or willow) which can be spray-painted white to produce a snowy forest. Once dry, spray some of the branches with glue and throw on some silver or white glitter. Place them in tied bundles around the room and light with blue and white fairy lights – magical.
Pale blue and white church candles of varying heights are all you need for the tables, like these above from knotsvilla.com via pinterest, although if the budget allows, blue hydrangeas would make stunning centre pieces, either very simply arranged in a vase or more extravagantly dressed like the ones draped with pearls by the innovative Blush Rose Events.
And the wedding cake? I like these blue and silver cake ideas from The Cake Whisk
although my absolute favourite is this gorgeous concoction from The Butter End Bakery – how much fun is that!?
